This website is operated by MUA Insurance Uganda TODO(MUA): confirm exact registered entity name, a licensed insurer regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRA)TODO(MUA): confirm IRA licence number. In these terms, "MUA", "we", "us" and "our" refer to MUA Insurance Uganda; "you" refers to anyone using this site to get a quote or buy cover.

By using this site — getting a quote, entering your details, or completing a purchase — you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site; you can still buy MUA cover through our branches or call centre.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract under Ugandan law. You're responsible for making sure every detail you enter — your number plate, name, date of birth, passport details, contact information — is accurate and belongs to the vehicle or person actually being covered. Entering false information can invalidate your cover.

Two products are currently available online:

• Motor Third Party (MTP) cover — the statutory minimum motor insurance required by law in Uganda, issued as a digital, QR-verifiable sticker after your number plate is validated and payment is confirmed.
• Travel Insurance — cover for a specific trip, quoted and issued through our underwriting partner, with your certificate emailed to you once payment clears.

The exact scope of your cover — what's included, excluded, and the sums insured — is set out in your policy document or certificate, not on this website. If anything here ever conflicts with your policy document, the policy document governs.

Prices shown before you pay are estimates based on the information you've entered so far. The final premium is confirmed once we have your complete, validated details, and may change if that information changes (for example, a different vehicle class, trip length, or traveller age). All prices are in Uganda Shillings (UGX) unless stated otherwise.

Payments are accepted via MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and card, processed through our payment partner, Flutterwave. Card details are encrypted in your browser before they ever leave your device — our servers never see or store your full card number, expiry date, or CVV. Your cover or sticker is only issued once payment has been confirmed as successful.

Your digital sticker or travel certificate is delivered electronically — as an on-screen download and, for Travel, also by email. You're responsible for providing a working email address and phone number so we can reach you; we're not responsible for documents that don't arrive because contact details were entered incorrectly.

Once a Motor Third Party sticker has been issued against a validated number plate, it generally cannot be cancelled or refunded, in line with standard practice for statutory motor coverTODO(MUA): confirm exact cancellation policy. For Travel Insurance, cancellation and refund terms are set by the underwriting partner and stated in your policy wordingTODO(MUA): confirm cooling-off period, if any. If a payment is taken but a policy or sticker is never successfully issued because of a technical failure on our side, contact us and we'll put it right.

Completing a purchase on this site involves a few specialist partners, each handling only what they need to for your transaction:

• ServiceCops — validates your number plate and issues your Motor sticker.
• Our travel underwriting partner — quotes and issues your Travel policy.
• Flutterwave — processes Mobile Money and card payments.
• Resend — delivers your certificate and confirmation emails.

Don't use this site to submit fraudulent information, impersonate someone else, attempt to interfere with the site's security or availability, or scrape/resell data from it. We can suspend access for anyone we reasonably believe is doing this.

The MUA name, logo, and the design and content of this site belong to MUA Insurance Uganda and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

This website is provided to help you buy genuine MUA insurance products conveniently. To the extent allowed by Ugandan law, MUA isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the site (for example, a slow internet connection delaying your purchase). Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including in relation to the insurance cover itself, which is governed by your policy document.

We may update these terms from time to time, for example as new products or payment methods are added. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute about your insurance cover itself may also be referred to the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda's complaints process.
